The small box arrived in a bubble mailer with no damage. The box itself was wrapped with the included instruction/informational booklet on top. I took a moment to read the entire booklet which I found very educational and engaging. It not only told about each individual oil but gave a lesson in how these and other oils are extracted and used. It had two pages in the center of the booklet about cautions while using the oils as well as official certifications in the back.

Each oil was well sealed in blue glass vial which protects the oil and will extend it's life and potency. The top is the euro dropper which dispenses one drop of oil at a time and the labels are colorful and well designed. The box is adorable and would be great to reuse after the oils are used. It opens like a book and displays the oils in two rows.

I first opened the lavender oil because it is one of the few oils that can be applied directly to the skin. I had to tap the bottle several times to get the oil out, which was light and clear. I rubbed it onto my wrists at the pulse points. The smell is very woody and not overpowering. It is similar to a scent that would be added to a men's cologne. I love lavender for it's calming properties, as I, like many others, suffer from anxiety. Using this in conjunction with other natural remedies I found it very soothing. I rubbed a few drops into my sleep mask, careful to avoid the area that comes in direct contact with my eyes, so that I may get a more relaxed feeling when I am resting.

The next scent I tried was the frankincense. I used this oil in my electric diffuser. This oil is good for both anxiety and respiratory health. The frankincense oil is darker and thicker than the lavender. I added it to the water in my diffuser and it sank heavily to the bottom which is not what you'd expect from the buoyancy of an oil. By turning on my diffuser the oil was mixed in and misted into the air. I only added two drops, so the scent was very light and not overpowering then the room.

I wanted to use the sweet orange oil in a carrier oil, for massage or just applying on my skin but I read in the included booklet that orange oil should not be applied before any sun exposure because it makes you more sensitive to us rays. I decided to use the Rosemary oil because it can be used to help circulation and muscle pain. I thought that would be great in a topical oil. I mixed regular omega rich hemp oil with the rosemary into an amber colored glass bottle with a dropper lid. I put a few drops onto my palms and rubbed it into my feet. The oils made my feet very soft and smelled great. The rosemary oil does not smell strongly like the spice one would use in cooking although there's definitely a familiar hint, the scent is more woody and minty than anything.

I have not yet used all eight but have opened and smelled them all. The smells are so fresh and invigorating. I intend on using the peppermint oil on cotton balls to ward off spiders. As I do have cats, I will not be using these where the cats can get to. It did not mention in the booklet however, peppermint is poisonous to cats as well as several other oils (tea tree included) so it is very important not to use these around pets.

Overall, I very much enjoyed using these oils and I am excited for all the possibilities and combinations. I know there are so many great uses for essential oils but there are a lot of low quality oils on the market. After trying these, I am confident that this is a quality brand of oils.
