I had the opportunity to try this multifunctional hanging ironing machine. It arrived from Amazon quickly and I was very excited to start testing it out. The box has the item pictured as well as some information about the product, such as the voltage and water tank capacity.

There was not an overwhelming amount of packing as inside the box were the instructions and three separate pieces inside a minimal amount of bubble wrap. The three items were, the steaming device (with attached power cod) a brush attachment and a steam face cover.

The instructions were brief and basically easy to understand. It states that you should not fill the device while plugged in, which should be common sense but is important to note. The max fill line was a bit difficult to see as you may notice in one of my photos but if you fill this above the max line you could suffer a burn injury due to boiling water splashing out of the nozzle. I found the top piece a bit difficult to remove but I suppose that is a good thing because I do not want that piece to fall off while the device is powered on. To remove the top portion that allows you to fill it with water, you must press the buttons on each side and pull up. You have to yank it pretty hard as there is some resistance on it. Then you can easily fill it via the opening and snap the top back on.

The two nozzle covers are also a bit difficult to snap in place. I struggled for a while getting the steam cover on and still wasn't sure it was right. I then plugged in the steamer and waited. The indicator light will be in but you will not see or hear anything for about a minute. You can set the steamer to one or two. I did not see anything in the instructions about these but one seems to be low power and two is high. After almost a minute the steamer starts to make a hissing sound. At this point I tried using it but realized it needed a bit more time. Soon after I heard the bubbling of boiling water. This is when the steamer started to steam.

I hung two of my husband's work shirts and held the steamer upright against the fabric. Even with the water inside this steamer was very lightweight and easy to maneuver. I moved the steamer up and down as it hissed and watched as the wrinkles literally disappeared! Unlike ironing there was no need to adjust and flip the shirt, this was very easy. I was able to steam both of the two shirts before the water tank ran empty. In the photos you will see on the pattered shirt, the left sleeve in which I steamed first (our right) and the right sleeve that I had not yet steamed. There is a huge difference. I did notice that if you tilt the steamer too much, you will splash hot water onto your garment so it is best to keep it as upright as possible. I also steamed a few t shirts that had been sitting in his drawer. I noticed that the steamer worked much quicker and easier on soft cotton fabric. The wrinkles basically fell right off of the t shirt fabric where with the work shirts, I had to go over them several times.

Next I tried using the steamer on my curtains in the living room. I knew with the pets always hiding in them, they needed some sanitizing. The steamer worked wonderfully and it was easy and smooth working from the bottom to the top of the curtains. My windows did briefly steam up but quickly recovered. The steamer not only sanitized the curtains but left them without the lingering Smokey scent (we use a wood burning stove and so they absorb the woody smoke) It was a quick and easy process. I assume with a little more elbow grease it would help eliminate stronger odors.

Once you are done with the steamer you should let it cool before you empty out any remaining water. The instructions also recommend rinsing with vinegar which is especially helpful if you, like me, have hard water. This reduces the build up in your steamer.

Overall, I feel like this product takes care of an important need in my life and helps my morning routine run smoother. Using this steamer is much faster than traditional ironing and works just as well. I agree wholeheartedly with the writing on the box. This definitely helps 'Make Life Easier'.
