This review evaluates the Allcaca DGOQ0018 charger. I received this charger from Amazon, via Vipon.

Most families today have many different smart devices in their household. Phones, tablets, smart watches, etc. are common. It is not unusual to have multiple devices charging in one location, often resulting in a race to claim one of the available outlets or chargers before they are all taken. The Allcaca charger solves this problem by providing an organized way to charge up to 6 devices at once.

Specifications

  • Four USB ports – up to 2.4A per port with a maximum combined current of 7A
  • Two Qi wireless charging pads – 5W, 7.5W, or 10W capability
  • Maximum Power – 65W
  • Rated Power – 55W (7A @ 5V USB + 10W Qi + 10W Qi)

In the Box

  • Charger
  • AC power cord
  • Clear plastic dividers
  • Clear plastic Apple Watch charging stand (Use the Apple Watch charger)
  • Velcro cord wrap
  • Type-C USB cable
  • Micro-USB cable
  • Three Lightning cables
  • Instructions
  • Thank you card

Setup and Use

The rear of the charger has a port for the AC power cord as well as an ON/OFF switch. This allows turning off the charger to avoid the small bit of power wasted by unused chargers.

Four USB ports capable of up to 2.4A at 5V each, not to exceed 7A total allow charging almost any USB powered device. You can use the included cables, which are short to prevent clutter on the desktop, or you can use any other USB cable. A power indicator LED illuminates when the charger is turned on. It is easily seen but small, not the kind of light that will keep you awake at night.

The top has two Qi wireless charging pads. These pads can handle 5W, 7.5W, or 10W charging. My two S9 test phones kept a stable connection at 10W charge even with cases on the phones. Phone alignment on the charge pads is made easier with an LED to indicate charge status. There are rubberized pads to reduce the chance that a phone slides out of place.

The top also has the adjustable dividers to organize charging devices. The dividers are easy to insert or remove to adjust as needed for your devices. Skip a divider completely if you have a very large case on your phone, like the Otterbox'd S5 in the photos.

Thinner cases fit in a single slot as shown by the two S9 phones. If you have an Apple Watch, use the special holder that accepts the OEM watch charger.

Testing and Results

The charger looks nice and makes a good organizer, but does it charge as specified?

The USB specification says that outputs should be 5V +0.25 or -0.60V, meaning that an output from 5.25V to 4.4V is acceptable. The Qi charging pads do not seem to impact the output of the USB ports as the USB ports charge devices the same with or without Qi charging active.

The USB ports approach the lower end of the USB spec when the unit is fully loaded, but all connected devices continued charging. Note that I used two adjustable USB test loads set at 2 or 2.4A to push the limits of the charger.

A typical device like my S5 or S9 cell phones charges at under 2A and drops lower as the battery becomes full. Measured voltage was stable during all testing. The only heat I detected was around active Qi pads, which is not unusual for wireless charging.

Summary

The Allcaca seems well made, with enough weight to stay in place on the desktop. The power switch is a nice feature to prevent wasting power when not in use. The adjustable divider system is a good way to organize large and small devices. As an Android user it would be nice to see more USB-C cables, but I already have cables for all my devices so this was no hardship.

The charger should handle the typical use case: a few phones, possibly a tablet, and some lower power devices like a smart watch or headphones. If you want to organize your charging area and reduce the clutter of chargers and cables the Allcaca charger should handle the job.
